Who We Are

The purpose of Friends of Jesse Morrow Mountain, Inc. is to prevent mining on Jesse Morrow Mountain. We are dedicated to protecting the cultural, historical, biological, water and visual significance of this gateway to the National Parks and Monuments.

We are a 501 c3 non-profit corporation made up of concerned citizens, farmers, ranchers, landowners, retailers, conservationists, environmentalists, Native Americans and many others. The opposition to the mining of the mountain is broad based.

Majestic Jesse Morrow Mountain can be found east of Fresno along Highway 180 on the way to Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks. For those familiar with the area, it is near the Old Sherwood Inn, the old cobblestone fireplace and the historic town of Minkler.
